Okay, So as i might have mentioned before ( i dont remember much right now and i'm too lazy to check), i bought a LOT of yarn on ebay for a relatively low price. Most of it was awesomely packed and didn't have any odor. But the other day i got 2 boxes of yarn and HOLY COW. It smelled like an attic and was covered in dust, so i thought it would be a good idea to unwind it all, wind it back up on my winding machine so they would be neat and not so stretched ( a lot of them were so stretched you could actually see the strands that made up a 1 strand of the yarn), and then i would be able to wash it and get the smell and the dust off. While i still think it was the best thing to do instead of putting it away with my other clean yarn, it was the worst thing i could have done at the same time. Now, i dont know if it was the dust and i just have a bad case of allergies and my body is trying to fight inflammation or what, but i got really sick, i have a fever, my nose is stuffy, headache, sinuses hurt a little. ugh. Needless to say, i've had to put my projects on hold for now, until i get better. My house looks like a pig sty. I did manage to wind about 100 balls of dusty old yarn, but every time i was it and put it on low in the dryer, in a garment bag, it ends up a tangled mess. They say to put them in pantyhose and wash them in it, or in a garment bag, but i don't own any pantyhose, just fishnets and i doubt they would work. So if anyone out there reading this has a better way of washing and drying these yarns, please comment!
Aside from the yarn, the couch where i work is covered in tissues, Tangled messes of washed yarn, and christmas ornaments. lol. I'm a wreck right now. Oh and to top it all off, The Muno i was working on for Ayden got lost somewhere in the mess and when i found it, the stitch marker had fallen off and i have no idea where i was, now i'm gonna have to start all over. I was almost done too. It was looking really really good. Oh well. The holidays are never easy. So on that note, time for me to go, i will be back eventually hopefully with some pictures of the stuff i've made. Night!

Right now? Let me tell you.
Yay! Today i recieved the 4 skeins of recycled sari silk yarn i ordered off of e-bay, as well as my new boye electric yarn ball winder! I'm so absolutely excited! as soon as i got it off my porch i plugged that bad boy in and spun my sari silk yarn into 2 tidy balls.
My review of the Boye electric yarn ball winder? i like it. BUT...
it's good if you wind your skeins into balls, however don't expect to roll big balls on it, i was gonna go crazy and wind all of my caron one pounders into tidy center pull balls so i could fit them in drawers easier, but after a little while the winder started to freak out and the ball fell off the winder. So i recommend that if you are going to wind like a lb or more to get one of the hand powered ones, they come in different sizes and are Waaaay cheaper.
The good side. it DOES an absolutely awesome job at making center pull yarn balls without making them so tight that it stretches the yarn, why don't you want your yarn to stretch? because if you work on a project with the yarn that has been stretched, your project will come out one size and once the yarn goes back to its original state the project will be a different size and that my dear friends, is incredibly annoying. This little gadget is a plus for me.
So i started on some new projects today, because since it's Yule season and i am absolutely broke, people are getting stuff that i actually have supplies to make, and i have TONS of yarn. I am absolute yarn-a-holic, and recently i've been on E-bay going absolutely nuts purchasing huge lots of yarn. in almost every color. So for my Aunt-in-law, and my wonderful mother-in-law i'm making crocheted bingo bags, i found an awesome pattern through Crochet pattern central, I'm really excited about this project because it's something very useful. I will definitely post pictures when i am done, one of them is going to be "Pittsburgh Penguins" themed (for my aunt-in-law), they are her favorite hockey team. I still don't know what color to make my Mother-in-law's bag but i am sure i will figure it out at some point.
A couple of days ago i purchased these wonderful patterns from one of my favorite etsy shops and I think this is going to be one of the best things i will make this Yule season. The Yo Gabba Gabba crew, sans DJ Lance though. I had already crocheted a Muno for my son a couple of weeks ago but i messed that up royally, what with the color option and i just couldn't get the eye right for some reason, so today i started making Muno for a second time, when i'm done with him i will start with Brobee. I'm so excited about this project because my son absolutely loves YGG, and i know he will go crazy once he has the whole set. i PROMISE to post pictures once i finish them.
Alright that's it for now, See you guys again soon!

Tiny update.
Hi everyone in Cybercraft world. Just posting a tiny update about the project i'm currently working on. It's an Onigiri. Which is a Japanese rice ball. I've always thought they looked so neat so i finally got myself down to it. I found a free onigiri pattern here :
I will post my little Onigiri later. mine won't have a face though, i think they are cute enough on their own. Be back later!

Here are some poor pictures of some of the Amigurumi i've made, More to come.
This is my hello kitty Amigurumi, first Hello kitty i've made, i think i did a pretty good job :-)
See? Her hood comes off!
Here's a picture of her butt! lol only because i think her tail is cute.
This is supposed to be Kon from Bleach (anime) but i don't think he came out too well.
This is my geisha. be gentle with me, it was my first attempt.
You can hardly see it in this picture, but she actually has 2 hair buns.
This is a better view of the hair buns on her back and her little japanese garb. isn't she adorable?!
That's it for now, all these were made from patterns i purchased, if you have any questions, leave a comment with your email address and i will get back to you as soon as i can :-)
Here it is! finally.
Everyone welcome to my blog, This is where i will constantly post pictures of not only my Amigurumi but probably other stuff too. I love to crochet and i am constantly getting new patterns to create, i figured why not blog about it? Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm currently 26, I'm a stay at home mom to my son Ayden who is 3 years old. I speak fluent english and spanish, and I love to collect stuff like Faeries, gnomes, and Classy looking mermaids (yes i said classy, i've seen some tacky looking mermaids, ugh). I love Japanese culture (who doesn't?). I'm Colombian by birth but grew up in NYC, I moved to pittsburgh a few years ago. I'm married to a gorgeous nerdy boy who's name is Dave. Aside from crochet, i'm currently teaching myself to knit. Other crafts i'm into are, Painting with acrylics, working with pastels, and colored pencils. I also make my own candles, do a little bit of chocolate candy making, and make hemp jewelry.
Well that's about it for now:-) i will probably start posting pictures soon. This blog is a work in progress!
